Known to most as a big-box retailer for home & garden items, Target also carries a wide assortment of juvenile products. While not as dedicated to unique baby gadgets as the other retailers we reviewed, you will still be able to find all the top name brands, deals and prices that will give both you and your little one a reason to smile.
Target.com offers baby essentials from the following categories:
The downside to this website is that while it sells various products from top name brands, its selection of unique and specialty items are limited. Target.com provides the basics, but if you are looking for a more specialized item, this is not the site for you.
The website opens to a general homepage, because Target offers other products besides baby items. It’s a little inconvenient, because the consumer has to search under the ‘baby’ section and then be directed to the site’s baby area.
The website’s design is very stream-lined and functional with various pictured products flashing periodically upon the screen to catch the consumer’s attention.
It was a little annoying that each time the cursor would pass across the tabs at the top of each page; it would open up menus for different items that Target.com sells. One search for feeding supplies would suddenly end up in a search for men’s casual pants.
Target.com has you covered when it comes to expert advice and buying guides. Their Baby Resource center in conjunction with “Parent’s Magazine” is an informative tool for ‘soon-to-be’ parents.
The Baby Registry is convenient and caters to most everybody. Guests can look at your ‘wish list’ online, or head into a Target retail store and start shopping. New registry guests will receive a free tote including samples, coupons and buying guides on all things baby.
Craving for more savings? Target.com offers clearances on select ‘last chance’ baby items, will find you saving up to 10-75% off regular priced products.
Sometimes even Moms deserve some attention. Target.com has created a Mom’s Center section that is dedicated to pre-natal care as well as post-pregnancy items to get you feeling like yourself again.
Ordering can be completed online, by phone at (800)591-3869, or at your local Target retail store.
All major credit cards are accepted as well as Target Visa card and Target gift cards.
Free shipping is offered on select items. Standard shipping rates apply on other orders. Once an order has been shipped a tracking information email is sent to the customer.
Standing behind their motto of “Expect More. Pay Less.” Target has a lot to impress the expectant parent. However, this reviewer found that there was less variety and uniqueness to the product selection offered.
